Ko Phi Phi, Thailand - Viking Nature Resort

πŸŒ…πŸŒŠπŸŒ΄ FUCKING RELAX πŸŒ΄πŸŒŠπŸŒ…Not everything or everyone is made for us & we're not made for everything or everyone. Sometimes you just have to appreciate things for what they are, be grateful for what they aren't & be thankful for the life lessons every experience imparts. The more fluid you become, the harder it is for happiness to evade you. It's easy to try to fit something into your ideal of what it "should be", or to misrepresent something according to what you THINK it is, but chances are, you're wrong & it's objectively something else.So just fucking relax & enjoy the ride; nothing is under control. πŸ™ƒπŸ”½ FOLLOW πŸ”½πŸ”” Facebook.com/exist270 πŸ”” YouTube.com/exist270 πŸ”” Instagram.com/exist270 πŸ”” Twitter.com/exist270

Krabi, Thailand - Phra Nang Beach

πŸŒ…πŸŒŠπŸŒ΄ *FRIDAY MOOD* πŸŒ΄πŸŒŠπŸŒ…In a few weeks, I'll be heading back to Thailand after a 3 year absence. I can't even convey how fucking stoked I am for this, especially since I'll be doing something I RARELY do; travelling with another person. I'm so used to traveling alone at this point that I can't believe that it's been over 3 years since I HAVEN'T done it. I can't wait for the reunion vibes, to see some parts of the country that I didn't get to visit the first 2 times around & to get my ass on a longtail boat again. Of course, you'll be getting random updates so you can see the beauty that is the "Land of Smiles"!Shells yeah, beach! πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ”½ FOLLOW πŸ”½πŸ”” Facebook.com/exist270 πŸ”” YouTube.com/exist270 πŸ”” Instagram.com/exist270 πŸ”” Twitter.com/exist270

Luang Prabang, Laos - Kuang Si Waterfall Yoga

😊πŸ₯° *JOY SOLDIERS* πŸ₯°πŸ˜ŠYou can affect people a LOT more than you think, so why not use that power to create positivity?STORY TIME:I met these two incredible human beings last year in Luang Prabang, Laos. I could immediately tell that they were on some OTHER shit just by the energy they exuded. I knew there was something substantial behind their attitudes/outlooks; anyone could just tell that they were just solid, good people who had figured out something that most people hadn't. In retrospect, I now know why I had that gut feeling of gravitation toward them; they were Joy Soldiers. Here's a TED talk that explains the theory, since Sarah (oatsandwoes.com) has explained it FAR more adeptly & comprehensively than I ever could: youtube.com/watch?v=efhEM-cCJ9EI had no idea that we had so much in common from our initial interactions, but the connection was unmistakably there. You'll have to see the talk to see why, but make sure you keep an eye out for people like her & Maren, then engage them in your everyday life. You'll be better off for doing so.And if you can't find one… BE one. You could make all the difference in so many people's lives.πŸ”½ FOLLOW πŸ”½πŸ”” Facebook.com/exist270 πŸ”” YouTube.com/exist270 πŸ”” Instagram.com/exist270 πŸ”” Twitter.com/exist270

El Nido, Philippines - Kayak Adventure

🚨 *LAUGH MORE* 🚨You'd be surprised at exactly how infectious laughter can be. And to a person who NEEDS some in their life, yours could make all of the difference in the world.STORY TIME:I met this ray of sunshine in Laos through a mutual friend. We thought nothing of the encounter, as we both were traveling separately & the odds of us meeting up again weren't all that high.Fast forward to some time later, we randomly ran into each other in a bar in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It turned out that she had taken my advice about a guesthouse to try out & I happened to be checked into the same one. We became really close friends over the next few days after discovering that we had birthdays within a week of each other. We decided to check out a few countries together with two other friends, since none of us had any concrete plans.A few days after we had booked our tickets to Bali, I received news that an ex-girlfriend of mine had committed suicide. I'm not going to go into details about that right now, since it's not the point of this post. The point of this post is to highlight the fact that even in this lowest of moments, I was fortunate enough to have the company of someone with incredible compassion, empathy & an amazing sense of humor. While the pain obviously didn't subside immediately, hearing this girl's laughter everyday was a constant reminder that there WAS happiness in the world & I just had to figure out a way back to it. I'll never forget what this human did for me, much of it unwittingly. With that in mind, don't be afraid to laugh more often. It'll make you feel better & you never know else who might need it.πŸ”½ FOLLOW πŸ”½πŸ”” Facebook.com/exist270 πŸ”” YouTube.com/exist270 πŸ”” Instagram.com/exist270 πŸ”” Twitter.com/exist270
